Invitation to Little Groovers Mid Year Concert!

This is an optional concert for all Kindy Little Groovers.

ittle Groovers is holding a Mid Year concert at the Elanora Primary School Performing Arts Hall. 

All the Little Groover Afternoon classes will be demonstrating their Jazz, Tap & Ballet. 

I would love to invite any Little Groovers from all the Kindy’s to come along. They will perform 1 routine that they have learnt this year on the stage. They then have the opportunity to watch some of the older school students dance and see what is involved if they decided to continue with Little Groovers once they start school. I will need to know if you are attending so I know how many Little Groovers to expect. 

This is just a great opportunity for those Little Groovers who love to perform to get another opportunity to do this but on a stage.

It is also a great experience for the children and helps build confidence and self-esteem to be able to perform in front of family and friends.

THURSDAY 15th MARCH 2018

It has been a really exciting start to the year with lots of enthusiastic little ones just keen and ready to dance!! All the Little Groovers are well and truly settled into their classes and we are having a ball. If your child ever starts to show disinterest in classes you will always be notified by myself.

CONCERT TIME!

It is already that time for our Little Groovers to have their first Kindy Concert for the year!!!

The concert is a demonstration of the routines that the children have been working on through the year and allows you to see their progress develop from beginning to end of year. It is also a great experience for the children and helps build confidence and self-esteem to be able to perform in front of family and friends.

 

Please do not be upset if your child decides not to perform on the day. This can be common and just takes some children a little longer to get used of dancing in front of an audience. The children will be provided with a costume on the day and I will do their hair. This adds a bit of excitement for the children and makes it feel like a real performance. 

 

If your child has been with Little Groovers for the past year or two there may be some repetition of music from previous years. As we can do up to 20 songs/routines a year this is hard to avoid but also is beneficial for the children as they are usually “favourites” and the more they become familiar with the routine the more they remember. The concert will last for approx 20-30 minutes

Children need to be at Kindy half hour before concert time to get ready.

I will provide a costume on the day

In the past I have organised a Teacher to film the concert and then Little Groovers Dance Co. make the DVD’s to give to parents who want to purchase one. Due to a lot of difficulties with this process, privacy laws and now so many different changes to technology it has become a very hard process. If you cannot make the concert please see if any other parents can take a video for you or even the teachers at the centre. I will ask staff if they would like to film on their centre devices also.

LITTLE GROOVERS UPDATE!!

 

WHATS HAPPENING FROM NOW TILL END OF YEAR!!

It has been a really exciting year and it is passing by so quickly. I would like to welcome all my new Little Groover Families and just wanted to give you all an update with what happens from now till the end of the year.

 

IMPORTANT DATES

·         No Classes School Holidays  (Monday 19th Sept – Tuesday 3rd Oct) & Monday 2nd October (Public Holiday).

·         Kindy Concerts – End of October – Early November. Dates TBA

·         Optional End of Year Concert  Elanora Primary School – Saturday 25th November

·         Last Class of the Year – Friday 8th December

 

 

KINDY CONCERT

·         A Little Groovers concert will be held at your childcare centre!! This will be happening next Term around the end of October. Dates to be advised soon.

·         All the concerts held in May this year were fantastic and I’m sure the parents would agree the children had a ball. I am hoping you may all see the progress in the children from the last concert to this one.

·         The children perform routines and exercises they have been doing in class. This builds confidence & self-esteem being able to dance in front of family and friends and you as parents can see your child’s progress.

·         We understand parents are not present when their child is at kindergarten & do not see what they are doing in class, so this a great way for you to see what your child has been learning. They are provided with a costume on the day and are lots of fun!!

 

 

OPTIONAL ELANORA PRIMARY CONCERT

DATE: Saturday 25th November, 2016

TIME:  2:00pm

PLACE: Elanora Primary School Performing Arts Hall

·         Every year I invite the Kindy Little Groovers to come along and perform a routine at the Little Groovers big End of Year Concert. All the Little Groovers afternoon classes will be demonstrating their Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Hip Hop.

·         The Kindy Little Groovers will perform the Chihuahua dance routine that they have learnt this year on the stage. They then have the opportunity to watch some of the older school students dance and see what is involved if they decided to continue with Little Groovers once they start school.

·         This is a great opportunity for the Little Groovers that just love to perform to get up on stage and be involved in a bigger concert. Remember it is completely optional.

 

IF YOUR CHILD IS STARTING SCHOOL NEXT YEAR AND WANTS TO CONTINUE  LITTLE GROOVERS

I have afternoon classes available at Elanora Primary School Performing Arts Hall and Varsity College.

 

If your child is starting Prep next year the Prep hour is the perfect class. They do 20 minutes each of Jazz, Tap, and Ballet. It gives them a taste of the 3 styles of dance while keeping their interest and not allowing them to become board.

 

If you are travelling from another school the Monday Class at 4:00pm would be the one to suit the most.

If your child is attending Elanora Primary School there is a class straight after school on a Tuesday & Thursday at 3:15pm. This is a very popular class and did have waiting list so please let me know if you are interested.

 

I am also teaching Preps and Grade 1 & 2’s on Wednesday at Varsity Collage. This is organised through the school. If your child is attending Varsity Collage next year they will be able to do my afternoon dance program. I’ll keep you updated!

 

FEES

·         Invoices for next term will be emailed out at the end of the week.  Outstanding fees from Term 3 - I will no longer be able to take your child for dancing unless it has been finalised or I have been notified.

 

·         Due to the time and expense of chasing overdue fees I will be applying a 10% late fee for invoices not paid by due date. This is always week 5 of Term.

·         If you have difficulty with payment other payment options can be made available as long as this is discussed with Little Groovers Dance Co. prior thereto then no late fee will be applied.
