Meet the teachers
In 2009, with two young children of her own and recognising her passion for a quality dance program for young people, Yvette started Little Groovers Dance Co.
Yvette, who has been dancing since the age of three, was trained at the Jane Stanley Dance Centre in Sydney studying classical ballet (RAD), jazz, tap and contemporary.
She has been teaching dance within these fields for the past 17 years and has extensive experience with young children.
Yvette holds a Diploma in Children Services and has previously worked as both a nanny and a pre-school teacher.
Chelsea teaches jazz, tap, ballet and hip-hop at Little Groovers Dance Co.
Dancing since age three, Chelsea has completed Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance (CSTD) examinations in jazz, ballet and tap over a 12-year period.
During this time, she has competed in many Eisteddfods including groups, trios, duos, solos and improvisation.
She started teaching dance in grade seven to children aged 3-16 and has been involved in many concerts and musicals through the studio and high school.
She also enjoyed two years with the show Back to the Tivoli, performing as a show girl in the production which travelled between Gold Coast, Brisbane and Toowoomba.
Taytum has had a passion for dance since the age of two.
When she was 12 years old, the Russian Ballet came to the Gold Coast and Taytum was selected to perform in The Nutcracker.
She since completed a year of full time ballet with the Queensland National Ballet and two years full time with Ikin Dance Australia, completing a certificate 3 and 4 in Dance and Fitness.
Taytum has always loved kids so sharing her passion of dance with children has been an amazing experience for her.
Her work experience includes teaching at Anne Kingsford Academy Of Dance and Ikin Dance Australia, particularly with children aged 3-14 in the styles of ballet, jazz, jazz technique, tap, lyrical and acrobatics.
