Meet the teachers
In 2009, with two young children of her own and recognising her passion for a quality dance program for young people, Yvette started Little Groovers Dance Co.
Yvette, who has been dancing since the age of three, was trained at the Jane Stanley Dance Centre in Sydney studying classical ballet (RAD), jazz, tap and contemporary.
She has been teaching dance within these fields for the past 17 years and has extensive experience with young children.
Yvette holds a Diploma in Children Services and has previously worked as both a nanny and a pre-school teacher.
Chelsea teaches jazz, tap, ballet and hip-hop at Little Groovers Dance Co.
Dancing since age three, Chelsea has completed Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance (CSTD) examinations in jazz, ballet and tap over a 12-year period.
During this time, she has competed in many Eisteddfods including groups, trios, duos, solos and improvisation.
She started teaching dance in grade seven to children aged 3-16 and has been involved in many concerts and musicals through the studio and high school.
She also enjoyed two years with the show Back to the Tivoli, performing as a show girl in the production which travelled between Gold Coast, Brisbane and Toowoomba.
Jam’s passion is for the performing arts and has loved being on stage since she was a little girl.
In her youth, Jam loved performing in school productions, Eisteddfods and community theatre and is a graduate from Palm Beach Currumbin High School's Dance Excellence Program.
In addition to holding a Certificate IV in Dance, Jam's classical ballet training includes RAD and CSTD, but she has trained in many styles with her favourite being tap.
As well as teaching dance at Little Groovers Dance Co, Jam also works as a children’s entertainer hosting birthday parties and craft activities.
Holly has vast experience in many facets of dance and performing arts.
After completing her Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance examinations in jazz, ballet and tap as well as attaining her Certificate IV in Dance, she moved to India to dance in various Bollywood films and events before returning to the Gold Coast.
Passing on her love of dance to young children commenced when she joined the Little Groovers family in 2016 and has since thrived as a much-loved teacher at this school.
Holly’s experience in performing shines through at the mid-year and end of year concerts, with her professionalism and enthusiasm rubbing off on the children to give them a huge buzz in front of their families and friends.
Since 2014, Jade has been sharing her love of dance with children all over the Gold Coast.
A standout graduate from Palm Beach Currumbin High School’s Dance Excellence Program, Jade’s studies also include a Certificate III in Early Childhood and Certificates III and IV in Fitness.
An award winning dancer, Jade’s resume includes soloist in Creative Generation, cast member of Zircus at The Star Gold Coast and a member of the cheerleaders of the Gold Coast Titans rugby league team.
Jade is very excited to be in the studio with her students and watching them learn and grow as young performers.
